Kyrah Mather is an English-Indonesian multidisciplinary artist, specialising in paint, ink illustration, and ceramics.
Mather’s artistic practice explores the complexity of cultural identity, belonging, and perception in an increasingly globalised world.
Her process-led practice is rooted in personal memory and lived experience—particularly through the lens of being a third culture kid. Her work invites the viewer to reflect on their assumptions about identity and to cultivate greater empathy for experiences different from their own.
By depicting the nuances of specific cultural identities in today’s world, including her own connections to her birth country of Hong Kong, Mather’s work offers space for reflection, recognition, and meaningful dialogue.
